Yucca Valley Equestrian Center: Full Service High Desert Equine Center

Yucca Valley Equestrian Center was established in 1979 in the high desert above Palm Springs, California. Our elevation is 3,500 feet, providing the mild weather that allows us to ride year round. Summer temperatures are 10 to 15 degrees cooler than the low desert, and our winters are crisp and clear with an occasional light blanket of snow.

We are located a short ride from the Black Rock Campground of Joshua Tree National Park, allowing us access to the wonderful trails throughout the park. On our guided trail rides, we have a full view of the San Jacinto and San Gorgonio Mountains. The sharp-eyed rider may see a coyote slinking between the sagebrush or a long-eared jackrabbit sprinting for cover. Bird watchers will be rewarded with many species of desert birds. Sometimes we even see a gecko scurrying among the rocks.
